Samsara boat is a luxury cruising vessel that offers tours on the Tonle Sap lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The boat is a 56-foot classic wooden launch that was designed to meet the highest standards of comfort and safety for exploring the narrow channels and changing water levels of the lake at exactly the same width as the famous “Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train”, dining aboard Samsara shares a similar sense of elegant intimacy. The boat can accommodate up to 24 guests and has a spacious lounge, a dining area, a bar, and a sun deck. The boat also has a professional crew, a chef, and a guide who can provide insights into the culture and history of the lake and its people.
The Samsara boat tours depart from the port of Chong Kneas, where guests can transfer by small boats to visit the floating village of Choung Kneas before boarding the Samsara (low water level season only). The tours can last from two hours to a full day, depending on the guests’ preferences and the water level. The tours can include activities such as birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, or visiting other floating villages or temples on the lake. The highlight of the tours is the sunset cruise, where guests can enjoy the stunning views of the lake and the sky while sipping cocktails and tasting local delicacies
